October 1-7, 2024 - Keflavik, Iceland
Seven Day/Seven Night photographic adventure across Iceland
Cost : $3,950 USD
Iceland, a Nordic island nation, is well known for its dramatic landscape with waterfalls, volcanoes, hot springs and lava fields. Massive glaciers are protected in Vatnajökull and Snæfellsjökull national parks. Most of the population lives in the capital, Reykjavik. The entire island runs on geothermal power.
Weather in Iceland can be unpredictable, but don't expect anything too extreme. Average temperatures in October across Iceland typically stay above freezing with high temperatures near 50° F.
Our adventure starts in Keflavik, where the country's international airport is located. We will spend the next 5 days driving a loop around the country (which is about the size of Virginia) and photographing the incredible landscapes. Our adventure will end back in Keflavik.
Jason has years of experience leading Northern Lights adventures in Iceland. He knows the best spots to shoot and the best places to stay around the entire country. He is also an expert at forecasting cloud cover and auroras, so chances are you will experience multiple nights of incredible Northern Lights displays.
Photographing the aurora borealis has been a lifelong dream that Jason helped make a reality. His significant expertise with weather patterns and foreground selection were critical for finding the right conditions to capture these amazing lights.
