Workshop and adventure Cancellation Policy
By signing up for a workshop, adventure, class, tour, portrait session, etc you agree to these terms and conditions.
DEPOSITS AND FULL PAYMENTS: With Jason Weingart Photography workshops you have the option of initially paying only the deposit to reserve your spot. If you choose this option, the remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the start of the workshop. If you would like pay the remaining balance in installments, please let us know.
A deposit is your commitment to joining the workshop. These deposits don’t typically sit in an account, they are used to cover initial expenses for the workshop like airfare, hotel reservations, park permits/fees and guided tour deposits. Due to these expenses, deposits are non-refundable. Full and final payments are subject to a cancellation fee (maximum of $499.99) if your spot can be filled.
Cancellations and Refunds Will Be Handled As Follows…
MORE THAN 60 DAYS BEFORE WORKSHOP: $500 cancellation fee unless we fill your spot. If we can fill your spot, the cancellation fee will be waived minus a $199 convenience fee.
60 to 45 DAYS BEFORE WORKSHOP: $1000 cancellation fee unless we fill your spot. If we can fill your spot, the cancellation fee will be waived minus a $299 cancellation fee.
LESS THAN 45 DAYS BEFORE WORKSHOP: No refunds will be given and all payments will be forfeited. Full payment is required no later than 45 days prior to departure. If full payment is not received by this date you will be notified by email. If you do not respond within 3 business days, your spot will be forfeited and offered to participants on the waiting list.
CANCELLED WORKSHOPS: If we are forced to cancel a workshop for any reason, your entire payment will be transferred to another comparable workshop within one calendar year.
WHAT IT WOULD TAKE TO CANCEL A WORKSHOP: Other than during the coronavirus pandemic, Jason Weingart has never cancelled a workshop or adventure. He understands participants have made plans such as plane tickets, hotel reservations, rental cars and equipment, so canceling a workshop would be an incredible inconvenience (with or without travel insurance).
The only time we would cancel a workshop is if conditions are absolutely guaranteed to bring un-shootable conditions or an emergency that can’t be ignored. Any act of God, including but not limited to hurricanes, supervolcanoes, pandemics, etc. that causes a cancellation beyond the control of Jason Weingart Photography will result in the transfer of all payments to a future event.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: Jason Weingart Photography is not responsible for refunding any costs associated with travel, lodging, or incidental losses incurred in the event a workshop is cancelled by you or us. This is why we suggest purchasing travel insurance for any workshop or adventure.
PERSONAL EMERGENCIES: If you have a personal emergency, please contact us immediately; we are willing to work with you to reschedule on a case-by-case basis.
PRIVATE AND CUSTOM WORKSHOPS: Custom workshop clients are responsible for Jason Weingart's (and if applicable extra instructors) lodging and travel expenses including (when applicable) rental vehicle, fuel, and lodging. This is not included in the payment made on the website and will be invoiced at cost at the end of the workshop.
TRANSFERS : Payments are nontransferable.
